How we rate vendors
Ratings are only useful if you know how they were made. This page explains what goes into a review, how a vendor's score is calculated and what each verdict means.
Six criteria, one to five stars
Every review scores the vendor on the same six criteria. The review's overall rating is the plain average of the six, so a vendor can't hide a terrible refund policy behind fast shipping.
- Product Quality
- Did the product match what was ordered, in the stated form and amount?
- Lab Testing / COA Transparency
- Batch-specific certificates of analysis from an identifiable third-party lab.
- Shipping Speed
- Time from payment to delivery, packaging and tracking accuracy.
- Communication
- Responsiveness and honesty before and after the sale.
- Pricing & Value
- Price relative to comparable vendors and to what was delivered.
- Refund / Reship Policy
- How lost, damaged or wrong orders are handled.
How a vendor's score is calculated
A vendor's score is the weighted average of its published reviews. Most reviews carry the same weight; the editors can weight a review up when it is exceptionally well documented (order confirmations, tracking history, lab reports) or down when it is thin. A review can also be kept visible with zero weight, which means it shows on the page but no longer moves the score.
When the reviews on file no longer reflect what we know about a vendor, for example after a verified exit scam, the editors may set an editorial rating. It is labelled as such wherever it appears, and the per-criterion breakdown on the vendor page always reflects the underlying reviews.
Verdicts
Verdicts are issued separately from scores. A brand-new vendor with one glowing review does not earn a Trusted verdict, and a long-standing vendor with one bad month does not immediately become a Scam. Verdicts only change when the evidence does.
- ScamCredible, corroborated reports of non-delivery, fake product or theft. Do not send money.
- CautionMixed record: product usually arrives, but testing transparency, refunds or communication fall short.
- TrustedMultiple verified orders delivered as described, batch-specific third-party COAs, responsive support.
- UnratedListed but not yet enough verified information to issue a verdict.
Evidence and reviewers
Reviews are written by the editorial team and trusted contributors from documented orders. Screenshots, chat logs and lab documents that support a review are attached to the vendor page where they can be shared without exposing anyone's personal information. Reviewer names may be pseudonyms to protect contributors from retaliation.
Corrections and reports
If you are a vendor and believe a listing is wrong, or a buyer with an experience that contradicts a verdict, send a report. Every report is read by the editors. Reports that include order details and evidence are acted on fastest.
